Hi there! How about a little introduction?
The first issue of the Safe Haven newsletter was released Jan. 16, 2011. Originally it was a one page quarterly that quickly became a weekly newsletter before finally switching completely to online. It had four sections: Greetings, Food for Thought, Local News and Writings on the Wall. In April of 2014, the Safe Haven was discontinued, but was brought back in January of this year. There have been quite a few things that have been added and taken away over the years, but one thing that has remained consistent is a push for quality and to give back something insightful to the readers.
I am Jacqueline S. Sadberry and I am the current editor in chief for the Safe Haven. I do all the editing and writing myself and I will continue to do so until it comes time for me to pass the torch. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been quite the learning experience. I am happy to write this newsletter for my church and I look forward to what the future holds for the Safe Haven.
I’m currently tweaking and moving some things around on the blog, so please keep this in mind as you look around. All changes will be finalized by this Thursday.
As always, take care and God bless.
Jacqueline S. Sadberry
Editor in Chief
