Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;” (Romans 3:25 KJV)
In law, a forbearance is when a person chooses not to use their legal right (in particular with regards to enforcing payment for a debt.) The scripture tells us that the wages of sin is death. We deserved death, but Christ gave His life for us so that we could live. What we tend to forget is that God could have chosen to collect payment for the debt we racked up, but through His Son, He chose to extend grace and show mercy. Once you understand the power of the Blood, there is no tab to put your debt on. You have been given a second chance; take advantage of it and do what’s right. Stop racking up debts you can’t afford to pay back.
