“I am become a stranger unto my brethen, and an alien unto my mother’s children. For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up, and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.” (Psalm 69:8-9 KJV)
Jesus Christ became derision for us all. At one point, all the people who said they were for Him were suddenly against Him in an instant. He did no wrong; Christ was simply doing the will of the Father. Living for God means that at some point in your walk you will be greeted with all kinds of reproach, including from those closest to you. It will not be because you’ve done anything wrong, but because you are simply carrying out the will of the Father. Are you able to bear your cross? Remember when you feel alone that the Lord knows and understands because He went through it Himself; He’s right there with you.
